What brought you here today? Are you seeking some encouragement? Are you just wondering what this is? Are you seeking God with questions in a dark time? Or maybe you are seeking community with other believers! Knowing you have found another believer can be such a wonderful thing! I have heard many times that “you can just tell” when there is another believer in the room. Sometimes, it can be the way they present themselves, the way they speak to or treat others, and sometimes, people are simply vocal!
At a former job of mine, I made a mistake! A colossal mistake! I sent the wrong file… I had to send a file to a state entity, and the file that I grabbed was incorrectly labeled! By none other than myself! The worst part was that the file that I sent had the president, vice president, and CEO’s bonus amounts on it!! I WAS FRANTIC! I immediately went to my boss, and she tried to help me recall the fax. We thought we were successful, but just to be sure, I reached out to a contact at the place I had sent it to. I explained the situation, and he was very helpful! He checked to make sure the fax never came through and even checked in a few days later to be positive that the wrong person did not open it. During our conversation, though, there were little hints that he was a believer. I was cautious because he was in a government job, but I finally got the courage to ask, “Are you a Christian?” He said, “I most certainly am!” After that, we had a great conversation. My favorite thing to ask a fellow believer is, “What is your testimony?” Everyone comes to know Christ differently. For some, it is life circumstances and God drawing them out of a bad situation, but for others, it’s not a drastic change.
My story is simple: I was raised by two people who loved and feared the Lord. They never TOLD me I was a Christian. They taught me that being a Christian is more than just saying a prayer; it is maintaining a relationship with God. It is growing and fostering and serving. When I accepted Christ, I was young, but I learned the importance of getting to know Him on a deeper level and serving Him in all that I do. I fail, but I have a willing heart, and I am not a quitter. God gives me the strength and courage to continue to grow. To face my fears and insecurities.
So, what is your story or rather your testimony..? Do you have one? Would you like to learn more about what Christ has done for you so that you can join the family of God? Please reach out if you would like to learn more! I would love to chat!
John 3:16 (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
